An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
